Well not exactly LEAVING, but I am creating a new blog. This one has absolutely no readers (unless they're hiding like ninjas in the corners of my page- show yourselves!). I myself would like to be discovered.....so here ye! I shall create a space on Blogger! I'll come back every now and then, but in a few months (when I have thousands of readers) I'll most likely forget all about this place. Fare thee well for now, livejournal! And wish me luck on my new path!
Oh yeah, and click HERE

I think this is the part where I'm supposed to list out every single little thing that I'd like to do differently/accomplish in this following year, only to break most of them and feel disappointed in myself. So my New Years resolution? Not make resolutions. I'm working to elminate my stress and anxiety this year, and be laid back and carefree like the wonderful people I've always looked up to. That means not worrying about what I'm going to do (or not do) in the future. Just enjoy each new day as it comes at me and embrace the change that seems to follow in my footsteps. Not too shabby, I think. Very poetic of me. However, it does seem that I should starting thinking (thinking-not worrying!) about these plays that I've so lovingly gotten myself into the casts of. Sideways Stories is coming along rather nicely, and I'm enjoying my role as a tooth-obsessed third grader more than ever. Cinderella is, um, getting there. Have I mentioned my role in that play yet? I happened to snag the part of the evil stepsister Mazzarella in our performance of Cinderella Wore Combat Boots. I only hope that it will all come together by opening night. But why worry, right? It's a waste of precious time and mental energy that could very well be spent being happy (or memorizing my lines, perhaps......) But enough of my ramblings. It's time for each and every one of you (yes I do mean YOU, random reader) to get out and enjoy 2011. And maybe tear up those lists of resolutions while you're at it.
Happy New year.

-Charlie

I don't think I've ever done one of these, but I used to love watching OOTD videos on youtube and looking at the photos on blogs. And since I'm a bit of a fashionista myself, I think I'll go ahead and post what I'm wearing.

Top from Marshall's, skirt from one of my skating shows, leggings from Old Navy, sweatshirt from Target, leg warmers were a gift,  YinYang necklace I've had forever, wristband from Spencer's, peace bracelet (which you can't see) was a gift, and hairbow (which you can't see) from Hot Topic

I'll be the first to admit that this is a terrible shot; blame it on a bad camera and a small bathroom. But at least it captures the gist of my outfit. My favorite points are the leg warmers and the jewelry. Also, though you can't see it, my hair was behaving that day. I think I look like a dancer. Maybe all the Black Swan hype has gotten to me? Well that's all I've got for now. Keep watch for more of these (they're actually really fun!) Until next time,
-Charlie

Doing what the above title says seems to cause plenty of controversy in this country. But after reading all these social debates, I would love to post a giant collage of all the things that I believe in. As for the religious symbols, it doesn't mean that I neccessarily practice that religion, just hold the ideals of it to be good ones.

Did everyone have a Merry Christmas and get everything on their excessively long wishlists? I hope so, because then you can join MY club! No, of course I didn't get EVERYTHING I asked for (reminiscent of Veruca Salt?), but I did get many lovely gifts from my wonderful family! One of these said presents happened to my most desired item this year, my very own Asian-style ball jointed doll! Yes, I know, finally you say. Yet I know that you're all simply dying to meet her, so here she is: the one and only Artemis Fae

Name: Artemis Fae
Date of Birth: December 24, 2010
Age: 17
Sign: Capricorn
Doll type: Ashton Drake's Delilah Noir Debut Doll
Race: Human with abnormal mental capabilities

Personality:

Though not much sound is heard coming from her soft lips, Artemis has quite a bit to say. She is supremely intelligent, but often struggles with seperating reality from the deep corners of her mind. She has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, but I believe these symptoms to be a result of her apparent psychic abilities and sixth sense. Artemis uses her mind in a way that many people do not understand. Though she may appear to be somewhat frightening and antisocial, she is kind and honest, and cares deeply for all things in the world around her (even if she herself is not always present within it). Artemis will share her unique views and ideas with anyone who is willing to listen with an open mind. She enjoys being in nature, reading and writing poetry, and collecting stones that sparkle. She is frequently plagued by nightmares, but is teaching herself to control them. She has displayed an extraordinary talent for music, which she seems to use as a peaceful gateway between her two worlds. She has recently taken a liking to belly dancing and is enchanted by any from of circus performance. Artemis appears to have a strong connection with the water and moon, resembling her namesake.

Artemis often speaks of a man named Vladimir who chases her in the night with a poisoned pitchfork. I have not yet found him to exist.

Beautifully minded and fantastically talented, Artemis is a wondrous enigma that the world has yet to understand.

About the doll:

I received Artemis as a Christmas gift from my loving grandparents. For years I admired the elegance and beauty of ball-jointed dolls and longed to own one. I discovered the Delilah Noir collection, and was delighted to have been given one. Artemis is my first BJD, and I look forward to continuing my collection. She is named for my personal favorite Greek deity: Artemis, goddess of the hunt, and for the Fae, a species of faerie.

For the first time since President Obama was elected, I can truly say that I am pleased with you Uncle Sam. In a fantastic turn of events, a bill for the repeal of "Don't ask, don't tell" was pushed forward by Senate. Oh and to those of you opposed, put your minds at ease. If there is a higher power up there then I'm sure that he (or she) is most certainly smiling down upon us and waving a rainbow flag. The oddly-timed coincidence of this bill? Just today I handed in a paper for English class on supporting gay rights, and last Wednesday gave a speech on the very topic. Was it the power of my voice? Or perhaps was it just the realization of a certain quality known as FREEDOM? We may never know, but we can be sure of one thing: the injustice is finally being noticed, and hopefully one day the Rainbow can fly alongside the Stars and Stripes.

17 inches to be exact.
That's right. You're all jealous.

But I'll stop talking about the snow now and get on with something we all take an interest in: fashion. I'm a searcher of unique style, and I happened to find something worth blogging about on public television. My sibling have all become accustomed to watching the show Electric Company (yes, you heard me right). And, retreating into the general homework avoidance mode, I join them. The characters, particularly the females, all have a surprisingly good taste in clothes. Their outfits are vibrant and colorful, and have a funky retro feel to them. Now I'm not saying I like the show aspect, in fact it annoys me (am I the only one that bad hip-hop gets on the nerves of?) But I'll hush hush now, and let you take a look for yourself:

I can't help but feel instant style inspiration after watching that show :) Not that I like it or anything....at least, I hope I don't O.O

Here in Minnesota, Mother Nature takes "Winter Wonderland" to an extreme. I shoveled for more than two hours this morning, and it's still coming down. *Sigh*. That is a lot of white.......

But on a plus side, that means that Christmas is right around the corner! What are you asking for? Going anywhere special?

I'm not going anywhere for Christmas, but in a few months my high school band is taking a trip to New Orleans! THAT'S what I need for Christmas......a few extra dollars............

The main thing that I'm asking for though? This:

It's a Delilah Noir ball jointed doll, one of the most beautiful BJDs on the market, in my opinion. She comes with two outfits, a blonde wig, and a black wig. What will I name her? Something Greek most likely........

Well that's mostly all I have to say. Keep reading and enjoy the winter chill, or maybe just drink a lot of tea.

How's this for cute?

LIVEJOURNAL STATUS UPDATE: Avoiding homework

Just one thing,

I kind of love Katy Perry :)

On another note........anyone in the mood for zombies?

Readers, meet Carla, my newest mascot. And yes, fellow Night of the Living Dead fans, that IS a brain in her hand.

Feeling pretty today. I wore my hair up in a little clip in the back then braided the strands behind my ears. Beauty, in my mind, is being different. I also tried out a blue eye pencil and lower lid eyeliner. I think it was pretty? And of course I added some glitter, feeling like a fairy being one of my many guilty pleasures. I've been called gorgeous before. Do I believe it? Yes, yes I do.

This is a really beautiful pentagram

Well I suppose I best be going now. Best wishes! Oh by the way, I broke my old phone in half so I got a new one! I like it a lot more :3 But now it's really time to go. Merry Part!

One more thing.

"You can't take the sky from me"
